About the Author

I was certified to dive in 1970. Thirty one years later Bonaire became my home. It was here that I became obsessed with snorkeling and shore diving and the pursuit of A.L.F. (annoying little fish), thus earning an AAT level 5 rating with REEF.org. In 2005 I attended the AGRRA workshop as a representative for STINAPA. My interest and desire to learn about and help protect Bonaire's reefs and their inhabitants is inherent, and my passion. Volunteering with the Bonaire National Marine Park has been an educational experience which has allowed me to support and learn from some of the best scientists in marine research. Their work will help in setting policies that will hopefully protect the future of reefs for generations to come. I am proud to be a part of it.
In 2005 Jessie Armacost left the island and I inherited her labor of love, Bonaire Diving Made Easy. In May of that year, after revisiting the dive sites, the guide was revised, renamed Bonaire Shore Diving Made Easy, Fourth Edition and printed. In late 2006 Bonaire Shore Diving Made Easy went though a complete rewrite and the 5th edition was born.
